If you're looking for a meaningful way to spend a summer, try volunteering at this fantastic program. Located in a small village in Tanzania, this is an orphanage that is always in need of a few more loving people to help out. Founded by two very successful and intelligent women, volunteering at the Tanzanian Children's Fund would be time well spent.

Rustic Pathways is an opportunity for high school students to travel abroad with a group and program to do community service. Not all of their trips are for community service, but they offer a large variety of ones that are. Some include programs in Thailand, Costa Rica, The Fiji Islands, Australia, India, New Zealand, Cambodia, China, Peru, Mongolia, Africa, Laos, Panama, and many more.
